Card Validation works closely with the Ministry of Health
and Long-Term Care to help reduce the number of invalid health
cards.
Doctors who use HCV are registered in an on-line service
to the MOHLTC’s computer system in Kingston in order
to instantly validate health cards. Through internet connections
users will be granted access to the system on either an
individual card basis or on an overnight batch service.
The HCV module is permitted to either swiping the health
card or validating the health card number on file when used
in the single card validation mode.
Health Card Validation is high-speed, instant and user
friendly. It cuts through the clutter, allowing physicians
to concentrate on patient care rather than office finances.
